One contestant was unhappy to be dealt what he felt were three Television questions in the General Knowledge section of this week's quiz: Nos. 9, 25 and 57. In apologising, I pointed out that in my system No. 9 was a television question, but No. 57 was Entertainment and No. 25 was about Pets.
I can however see that this may not be the best way to do it – particularly with a Family Guy question not being flagged as Television. On my Quiz Monkey website I classify cartoons as Entertainment – probably because they can appear in virtually any medium (film, television, or print – not to mention the Internet). I suppose when I started doing it there were a lot less adult–orientated cartoons on TV (it was pre–Simpsons). I'm glad this has been pointed out to me; it's something for me to think about, and something to watch out for when setting questions in the future.
